Fola's Company Store?:
"Mandatory Boot Purchase"
Fola miners are fired up about not having a say
about the company withholding an expensive
and mandatory "equipment deduction" from
their paychecks..
As the battle for the Employee Free Choice Act gets fought out in the
press and the political arena, it’s worth remembering why we’re fighting
for this bill in the first place: because far too many workers can’t exercise
their freedom to form a union. Heath Coleman, a heavy-equipment

Coal Miner Punished for Trying to
Form a Union
Source: AFL-CIO Now
Heath recently did a worker testimonial for the AFL-CIO showing the
need for a union at Fol and why workers need the Employee Free
Choice Act.
'Companies Are Stomping All Over These Rights'
"I've had to put my family's well-being at stake just to exercise my rights
as an American," says Heath Coleman. "People shouldn't have to live
the way we've had to live for the last year." The same thing has been
happening to his co-workers, and it's all because they are trying to
improve their lives by forming a union. (To read Heath's entire
